Issue: Direct OBD programming is blocked because this specific ECU version is protected by factory security protocols.

Solution
  • Confirm the ECU production date: If produced before 06/2020, proceed with Bench mode.
  • Switch the bFlash tool to BENCH mode.
  • Perform a full BENCH read of the ECU to back up all internal data.
  • Flash the original file you just read back onto the ECU without modifications using BENCH; this applies the essential OBD unlock patch.
  • Once completed, you can carry out all future tuning and programming via the OBD port.
