How do I use the "Split File" function?

The Split File function is designed to separate a full ECU or TCU .BDC file into its distinct elements (Flash, Eeprom) based on our predefined profiles. It's the ideal tool for isolating a specific element of the file you wish to work on.

Steps to follow:

  1. Select the Profile: First, choose the Vehicle Brand, then the Control Unit profile that exactly matches the file you want to process.

  2. Load Your File: Once the profile is selected, the "Load File" button will become active. Click it and select the full .BDC file you want to separate. The tool will verify that its size matches the size expected by the profile.

  3. Start the Split: Click the "Split File" button. The tool will automatically create a new folder named Split_[your_filename] in the same location as your original file.

  4. Retrieve Your Files: Inside this new folder, you will find all the separated elements (e.g., Flash-yourfilename.bin, Eeprom-yourfilename.bin) along with a copy of your original file for reference. An "Access Your Files" button will appear to take you there directly.
